Alongside mine expansion, NextSource is working toward establishing a Battery Anode Facility in Mauritius. The project involves the installation of graphite-processing equipment acquired for this purpose. Once operational, the facility is expected to support production of graphite anode material annually.
However, progress has been delayed due to pending environmental clearance. In the absence of local approval, alternative site locations have been identified, including locations in the Middle East. Current planning includes negotiations with automotive manufacturers to formalize offtake arrangements following the successful qualification of graphite materials for battery use.

NextSource is actively in discussions with external partners to fund and develop a facility in the Middle East region.
