DX Group (LSE:DX), a leading provider of parcel freight, secure courier, 2-person, and logistics services, has announced the acquisition of Express Freight, a prominent Northern Ireland-based freight company.

About Express Freight:

Express Freight is a family-run business with a successful track record of over 50 years in the industry. Operating from a three-acre site in Moyraverty, Craigavon, the company serves 54 delivery routes and employs more than 115 staff. Its depot features extensive facilities, including 17,500 sq ft of warehouse space, 38 loading bays, and 6,000 sq ft of storage area.

Strategic Rationale:

The acquisition supports DX’s ongoing expansion of its Freight division, particularly in the delivery and collection of irregular dimensions and weight (IDW) items. Express Freight’s established presence and infrastructure will complement DX's existing operations. Following the deal, the management team at Express Freight will remain in place to ensure seamless integration into the DX network.

Growth Strategy:

DX continues to pursue its ambitious growth plans, actively seeking further acquisitions in the logistics sector. The group is focused on consolidating the fragmented logistics market, with a view to enhancing its service offerings and expanding into new end markets.

The acquisition of Express Freight is another step in DX’s strategy to strengthen its position in the logistics industry and broaden its service capabilities.
