02:47 PM GMT; Petrel Resources PLC (AIM: PET) – Up 50.8%

An unprecedented volume spike in the stock sent shares of AIM: PET around 50.8% higher at GBX 10.75. During the day session, approximately 8.4m shares changed hands against the 20-day average volume of 3.8m. A sudden spike in stock price has turned fortune for many traders who go long during intraday. During the day trading session, its shares extended gains for the third consecutive day and were up by 48.94% to GBX 0.35. Also, the traded volume in the stock since past three trading session has remained significantly above the 20-day average traded volume of 13.18m. During the day trading, shares which changed hand in 7DIG counter was at 119.96m, considerably above the 20-day average traded volume.

Shares of software and computer services provider, AIM: PRSM surged 22.03% higher at GBX 1,501.0, as the group reported an 83% revenue growth in FY19 against the year-over period. In the final results filed by the company as on January 23, 2020, the group reported that its revenue surged from £55.2m in FY18 to £101.0m during FY19. During the day trading, the stocks registered an intraday high of GBX 1,523 and an intraday low of GBX 1,243.0, reflecting the volatility of 280 points.

AIM: EDL stocks surged 21.05% to GBX 0.06, as the group reported that it had completed fundraising of £0.07m by placing 1,750,000,000 new ordinary shares at an average price of 0.04p per ordinary share as on January 23, 2020. During the day trading session, its shares have registered an intraday high of GBX 0.06 and a low of GBX 0.04, respectively. The £2.40m market-cap company is a UK-based general mining company.

03: 00 PM GMT; Online Blockchain PLC (AIM: OBC) – Up 17.65%

A sudden volume spike in the AIM: OBC shares have sent its stocks 17.65% higher at GBX 10.0, and during the day trading hours, the stock touched an intraday high of GBX 10.0 and a low of GBX 8.50, respectively. Shares volume, which changed hands during the day session stood at 77.37K, which is 3.3 times higher against the 20-day average volume traded of 22.90K. The £0.74m market-cap Online Blockchain PLC is a UK-headquartered software and computer services, provider.
