Top 5 AIM Risers Of The Day (Wednesday, January 29, 2020)

After two consecutive days of decline, the broader AIM indices of the UK pared some losses during day trading session. With FTSE AIM 100 UK traded approximately 32 points or 0.65% higher at 4,899.38, the FTSE AIM, UK 50 up 33.0 points or 0.62% to 5,404.52 and the FTSE AIM All-Share, increased approximately 5.0 points or 0.52% to 958.17.

However, there are several other pockets, which substantially outperformed the broader indices performance during the day trading hours (before the market close). Here we are sharing a list of five AIM outperformers as on January 29, 2020 (Wednesday).

02:17 PM GMT; Kodal Minerals PLC (AIM: KOD) – Up 47.3%

The mineral exploration and development company AIM: KOD today announced that it had signed an MOU with Mali Lithium Limited, an ASX-listed company looking to develop the Goulaminia Lithium Project located proximal to Kodal Mineral Bougouni Lithium Project. Both the companies expect to improve the development of each project through the joint sharing of certain infrastructure and operational support and under the agreement.

This announcement sent its shares 47.3% higher to GBX 0.07. It was the highest one-day surge over the past year. During January 29, 2020, trading hours before the market close, its shares touched an intraday high of GBX 0.09 and an intraday low of GBX 0.04, respectively.

02:20 PM GMT; Verditek PLC (AIM: VDTK) – Up 20.83%

Shares of AIM: VDTK extended gains for the second consecutive days and was up by 20.83% to GBX 2.90. Two straight days of surge was primarily because of the appointment of the group’s Chief Sales and Communications officer, Mr. Ravinder Shan as the on January 28. During the day shares of the company touched an intraday high of GBX 2.90 and a low of GBX 2.40, respectively. Also, there was a volume gush on this counter as a number of shares that changed hands today were 1.15m against 20-day average traded volume of 665.26K.

02: 22 PM GMT; Avacta Group PLC (AIM: AVCT) – Up 20.63%

Shares of AIM: AVCT surged 20.63% to GBX 26.90, on announcement made by the company that it has presented the primary proof-of-concept for its patented new class of drug for a pre-clinical animal model of cancer. During the day trading session its shares touched an intraday high of GBX 26.90 and a low of GBX 21.90, respectively.

02:25 PM GMT; 7DIGITAL GROUP PLC (AIM: 7DIG) – Up 16.25%

Shares of AIM: 7DIG extended gains of the previous traded session and surged by 16.25% to GBX 0.47. Shares of speciality retailer touched an intraday high of GBX 0.47 and a low of GBX 0.31, respectively.

02: 27 PM GMT; Leaf Clean Energy Company (AIM: LEAF)– Up 15.69%

The £20.29m market-cap diversified financial series AIM: LEAF stocks extended gains for the third consecutive days and traded 15.69% higher to GBX 295.0. During the day trading hours, its shares registered an intraday high of GBX 310 and a low of GBX 261.0 respectively.
