Nico Neumann appointed CEO of Deutsche Aircraft and Deutsche Aircraft Leipzig, effective July
Dave Jackson transitions to lead Deutsche Aircraft Group at a broader strategic level
Leadership change supports the firm’s continued industrial development and aircraft program execution
Deutsche Aircraft GmbH, an aviation manufacturer associated with the FTSE AIM 100 Index, has formally announced a key leadership evolution at the Paris Airshow 2025. This shift signals the company’s latest step in an ongoing transformation strategy aligned with its broader aerospace production and operational roadmap.
Effective the first day of July, Nico Neumann will take full charge as Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Aircraft and Deutsche Aircraft Leipzig. His transition from Co-CEO, a role he held since the beginning of the year, follows a long-term leadership collaboration with Dave Jackson. Jackson, a pivotal figure in Deutsche Aircraft’s operational continuity and expansion, will now concentrate on his role as CEO of Deutsche Aircraft Group. This structural change is positioned to ensure continuity while refining the strategic focus of both operational and group-level entities.
The transition represents the culmination of a succession initiative in development since the final quarter of the previous year. Both Neumann and Jackson have shared over a decade of leadership synergy within the organization. During this time, Deutsche Aircraft successfully managed global support for the Dornier 328 fleet and launched programs like the D328eco®, which remains central to the company's forward-looking portfolio.
With nearly two decades of aerospace and operational expertise, Nico Neumann has contributed extensively to the company’s production ecosystem. His responsibilities have included advancing industrial planning, overseeing operations, and reinforcing a resilient and scalable supply chain model.
Under his leadership as Chief Operating Officer and later Co-CEO, Neumann played an instrumental role in aligning the firm’s manufacturing capabilities with modern environmental and technological standards. The D328eco® rollout, a program introduced to demonstrate efficiency in regional aircraft operations, is a core initiative that has reflected the company’s innovation direction.
Dave Jackson, now focusing on strategy and corporate vision at the group level, is set to support the operational leadership in delivering on long-term goals. With a track record extending beyond a decade and a half, Jackson's strategic inputs have shaped the firm’s transformation from legacy aircraft support to full-spectrum aerospace manufacturing.
As the company enters a new phase of structured leadership, it remains closely observed within the FTSE AIM 100 Index, aligning with regional industrial growth and sustainable aviation advancement. The Paris Airshow, serving as the stage for this announcement, highlights Deutsche Aircraft’s intention to reinforce its presence across global aerospace sectors while refining its executive dynamics for future initiatives.
