Serco Group Plc Bags A Contract From The UK Ministry Of Justice

  • Serco Group Plc (SRP) has signed a contract with the UK Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to provide Prisoner Escort and Custody Services (PECS) for the South of England region.
  • The company will be responsible for the safe and secure transportation of prisoners between prisons and courts, and for the safe and secure custody of prisoners while at court.
  • The new contract will start on 29 August 2020 and has a total estimated value to the company of around £800 million over the ten-year term.
  • On 30th October 2019, at the time of writing, GMT 12:21 PM, SRP shares were trading at GBX 155.90, up by 0.80 points or 0.52 per cent against the previous day closing price.
