FirstGroup Plc (LON:FGP) has informed about the Government support for the UK’s bus industry.

The company has stated that the new funding could total £167 million across the industry.
The company has further stated that the announcement enables the Group’s First Bus division to ensure continuity of operation.
First Bus is one of the country’s largest bus companies, operating around 20 per cent of regional bus services in the United Kingdom.
On 3^rd March 2020, at the time of writing, GMT 08:20 AM, FGP shares were trading at GBX 50.05, up by 2.55 points or 5.37% against the previous day closing price.
