Carnival Plc announces month-long temporary pause in fleet cruise operations

Carnival Plc (LON: CCL) has announced month-long temporary pause in fleet cruise operations.

  • The company has stated that North America’s four more cruise line brands will take a voluntary month-long break, halting all new cruise voyages.
  • The company has stated that the halt is being made out of high caution to help the global endeavour to contain the spread of the COVID-19.
  • Earlier, the company's Princess Cruises brand had announced of pausing operations for 60 days.
  • On 16th March 2020, at the time of writing, GMT 08:06 AM, CCL shares were trading at GBX 1,116.50, down by 44.50 points or 3.83% against the previous day closing price.
