AstraZeneca Plc’s (LSE:AZN) Fasenra (benralizumab) medicine used for the treatment of eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE), a rare, chronic, inflammatory disease, has received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Orphan Drug Designation (ODD). Fasenra medicine is presently having sanction in the US, Japan, EU and other countries, as an add-on maintenance treatment for severe, eosinophilic asthma.

A 12.7 US cents per share interim dividend was announced by the company’s Board, which will be paid on 18 October 2019 to eligible shareholders on the register at 20 September 2019.
