AstraZeneca Plc’s (LSE: AZN) Fasenra (benralizumab) medicine used for the treatment of eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE), a rare, chronic, inflammatory disease, has received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Orphan Drug Designation (ODD). Fasenra medicine is presently having sanction in the US, Japan, EU and other countries, as an add-on maintenance treatment for severe, eosinophilic asthma.
