How Real Estate New Zealand got affected by COVID-19? | Market Update

Lockdown hit the New Zealand property market hard, new data from the Real Estate Institute shows. The number of properties sold in April – when for almost the whole month people could not move house except in exceptional circumstances, could not view properties in person or negotiate a transaction – was down 78.5 per cent compared to the same time a year earlier.

Air New Zealand will start with three return flights a week between Taup? and Auckland on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and three extra flights per week between Timaru and Wellington on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Closures were expected to happen across the company's international network. So far, Michael Hill International has decided to close three stores in New Zealand, five in Australia and one in Canada The company planned to open 25 New Zealand stores on May 16, with the remaining stores to be opened by the end of May.
