COVID-19 Reduces Cruise Ship Visits And Spending | Kalkine Market Update NZ |

As per the Stats NZ report today, the ongoing pandemic’s impact had shortened the last summer’s cruise ship season. The spending was down by 3.2 percent to NZD 547 million in the year ended June 2020.

The government sealed the New Zealand borders from March 2020. It trimmed the number of cruise voyages, port calls, and passengers and resulted in NZD 18.1 million declines in annual cruise spending.
