New Zealand Decides to Lift Alert Level 3 on 14th May

The Government of New Zealand has decided that the country can move to Alert Level 2 at 11.59 PM on 13 May. In Alert Level 2 people can resume many of their everyday activities but have to do so safely.

  • People can go in-store at local businesses;
  • Most businesses can open if they can do it safely;
  • Tertiary education facilities, schools, and early learning centres will be open;
  • Initially gatherings like funerals, weddings, religious ceremonies, tangihanga and social gatherings can have up to 10 people.
