Government Announces NZD 14.7 million Fund for Education and Jobs Training

The fund shall create more pathways to jobs by giving training and education for people and help them recover from the economic impacts of Covid 19.

Regional Economic Development Minister Shane Jones said the regions would drive the country's economic recovery. The regions need to have sustainable job opportunities and a well-trained workforce.

The investment is for companies in some of the most vulnerable communities to provide a diverse range of skills training, education, pre-employment, and job pathway projects, he added.
