With an eager yet determined pursuit of a sustainable, equitable, and clean future, a broad collection of energy leaders announced a Joint Vision Statement on the energy transition at Reuters Events Energy Transition 2023 in New York in June. Allyson Anderson Book, our Chief Sustainability Officer, took part in several discussions at the event, and proudly signed this important statement.

Allyson spoke about the need for increasing efficiencies in our sector, decarbonization for hard-to-abate sectors, scaling up climate technologies through digital enablement and as well as the importance of bringing the Global South along for a fair transition.

The vision is shared by those exhibiting, and continuing to advocate for, a more comprehensive and enriched concept of transition that is practical, equitable and fundamentally consistent with international Sustainable Development Goals:

A Gender Conscious Transition
An Ecologically Responsible Transition
A Resilience-Oriented Transition
An Action-Driven Transition
A Collaborative Transition
