Vizsla Copper (TSXV:VCU) Expands Copper-Molybdenum Soil Anomaly at Thira, Central BC

Highlights

  • Soil geochemical anomaly extends over 3 km east of the Thira copper-molybdenum discovery.
  • Copper, molybdenum, and silver anomalies align with geological and geophysical targets.
  • Phase 2 drill planning underway following completion of geophysical survey.

Vizsla Copper Corp. (TSXV:VCU) (OTCQB: VCUFF, FRANKFURT: 97E0) has reported initial results from a recently completed soil geochemical survey at its Thira discovery within the Poplar Project in central British Columbia. The survey has outlined a broad, multi-element geochemical anomaly extending more than three kilometers east of the known Thira copper-molybdenum system.

The expanded anomaly is coincident with key geological structures and airborne geophysical targets, further defining the mineralized corridor. Induced Polarization (IP) geophysical surveying over the same area has been completed, with data processing and interpretation currently in progress.

Phase 1 Drilling Intersects Significant Copper-Molybdenum Mineralization

Earlier this year, Vizsla Copper completed a Phase 1 drill program at Thira, which consisted of ten drill holes totaling more than 4,500 meters. All holes intersected notable intervals of porphyry-related copper-molybdenum mineralization.

One highlight included a 237.3-meter intercept grading 0.51% CuEq (0.36% Cu, 0.02% Mo, 1.19 g/t Ag, and 0.06 g/t Au) from 117.7 meters downhole in hole TH25-145. The mineralization occurs within chalcopyrite-molybdenite-bearing stockwork and multi-stage porphyry-related veins cutting through intensely altered volcanic rocks and breccias.

The Phase 1 program was guided by an open-ended copper-molybdenum-silver soil geochemical anomaly identified during the 2024 survey, now confirmed to coincide spatially with the mineralized zone at Thira.

Expanded Soil Sampling Defines 4 km Copper-in-Soil Zone

A total of 1,244 B-horizon soil samples were collected in 2025 across a three-kilometer segment of the alteration corridor. Sampling was conducted at 50-meter intervals along lines spaced 200 meters apart. Initial findings indicate that the 2024 anomaly extends at least three kilometers eastward, with copper-in-soil values reaching up to 1,200 ppm (0.12%).

The main copper anomaly now measures approximately 4,000 by 800 meters, suggesting significant potential for additional mineralization across the broader Thira alteration zone.

Next Steps and Upcoming Program

Vizsla Copper plans to integrate the final soil geochemistry data with results from the recently completed 35 line-kilometer IP survey to define new high-priority drill targets. Planning for a follow-up Phase 2 drill program is now underway to further delineate mineralized zones and test newly identified targets along the extended anomaly.
