Highlights
- Guardian Exploration has completed its 2025 field program at the Sundog Gold Project in Nunavut.
- Sundog sits in Nunavut’s Ennadai–Rankin greenstone belt, near major gold deposits like Meliadine.
- Multiple channel and grab samples returned grades above 10 grams per tonne of gold, with peak gold values up to 34.45 grams per tonne.
- Geological mapping and trench sampling identified multiple gold-bearing structures.
- Initial analysis supports further exploration in 2026, including drilling and expanded mapping.
Last week, Guardian Exploration Inc. (TSXV:GX) (OTCQB:GXUSF) (Frankfurt:R6B) announced the completion of its 2025 field season at the 9,415-hectare Sundog Gold Project with exciting high-grade gold results that expand the project’s known mineralized footprint. Located within one of Nunavut’s most historically productive greenstone belts, the latest program reinforces the project’s growing potential as Guardian heads into 2026.

Field Season in Review: Mapping, Trenching, and Discovery
From September 1 to October 7, Guardian’s team carried out a comprehensive field program that included geological mapping, prospecting, structural interpretation, trenching, and grid establishment. The team collected a total of 248 rock samples for analysis, with 86 of those being channel samples from older trenches. A field camp was set up at the Cullaton Lake airstrip, located 18 kilometers southwest of the Sundog area, to provide logistical support for both the current and future operations.
According to the company, all trenches from the 1987 exploration program were relocated, re-excavated, and sampled. Three new trenches were added, and nine historical trenches were expanded. Multiple channel and grab samples returned assays greater than 10 g/t gold, with the highest value reaching 34.45 g/t gold.
Geological Highlights: Gold in Quartz-Carbonate Veins
Broad zones of gold (>0.5 g/t Au) were discovered in quartz–carbonate–sulphide veins within fine-grained gabbro sills and metavolcanic rocks. Panning from multiple trench sites reported the presence of recoverable gold. Notably, these results are in line with gold results, reported in 1987 by Abermin Corporation and subsequent work by other operators.
Continuous channel sampling was carried out across several trenches, including 8, 9B, 10, 17, and 29.

Sundog’s Strategic Location: A Gold-Rich Greenstone Belt
The Sundog property is located within the Ennadai–Rankin greenstone belt, which spans more than 100,000 square kilometers and is home to several major gold systems and significant deposits. Notable among these is the Meliadine mine, which has already produced over 2 million ounces of gold and holds an additional 7+ million ounces in its current reserves and resources.
Next Steps: Building on High-Grade Momentum
Guardian is set to leverage the 2025 results to plan its 2026 exploration program, aiming to expand the high-grade zones and further unlock the Sundog Gold Project’s potential.

Guardian Exploration shares traded at CAD 0.21 per share, up over 10.5%, on November 17, 2025.
