The Canadian market’s broad index closed above all its support levels of five-day, 10-day, 20-day, 30-day, 50-day and 200-day simple moving averages (SMAs). The Moving average convergence divergence (MACD) hovered above its nine-day signal line, with the difference between 12-day and 26-day exponential moving average (EMA) is positive.
At the close, the S&P/TSX Composite featured a dividend yield of 3.3% and traded at a Price/Earnings (P/E) ratio of 19.6x.

On Wall Street: All three benchmark indices of the United States traded in red with the Dow Jones Industrials traded 0.22% or 68.95 points lower at 30,991.52, the S&P 500 index traded 0.38% or 14.30 points lower at 3,795.54 and the technology dominated the Nasdaq Composite index traded 0.12% or 16.31 points lower at 13,112.64, respectively.
