Top News of the Day || What Are The Major Concerns In India Lately Amid The 2nd Wave Of Covid ?

You are watching kalkine tv live from Sydney. Lets get started with today’s top news. First big news is on covid-19 pandemic front. In Australia this morning hundreds in Melbourne and Brisbane are being urged to be tested after a safety breach at Brisbane airport due to a human error was identified.

Brazil’s death toll from the deadly disease Covid-19 has exceeded 400k souls, and is now second only to the USA. Brazil has one of the highest mortality rates for the disease with 189 deaths being recorded for every 100k people residing in the giant South American city.

And now, after Brazil, another concerning news from India. With the numbers of Covid-19 cases increasing in India reaching unprecedented levels, with 18 million recorded cases so far, top doctors say the highest numbers will come through only in a few months. On Thursday 3645 deaths were reported this is the highest number so far with 379,257 new infections now also to be added to the list.

Moving on to the next big update from the entertainment space. Earlier this year in February pop star Lady Gaga’s dogs were stolen whilst they were taken out for a walk by her dog walker whilst she was staying in Italy. The attack was so violent that her dog walker, Ryan Fischer, required hospitalization for a gun shot wound but is now recovering.

Meanwhile, Addressing the United Israel Appeal Dinner last night in Sydney, Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison addressed the crowd with a speech highlighting the importance of denouncing “identity politics”.

And finally, the last big news coming in from the Australian government again. The Prime Minister Scott Morrison is due to meet with parliamentary Liberal ex-staffer Brittany Higgins, almost two months after she came out with allegations that she was raped by a male colleague during her time working in a ministerial office in March 2019
