Pentanet (ASX: 5GG) launches Beta Play for Cloud Gaming

ASX-listed Pentanet Limited (ASX:5GG), a provider of telecommunication services, has announced the formal commencement of the Beta Play phase of the GeForce NOW Powered by Pentanet cloud gaming service in Australia. 

The announcement stated that from 12pm AWST today, players across Australia and New Zealand who participated in the ‘Beta Quest’ program have the opportunity to experience cloud gaming on GeForce Now Powered by Pentanet. Demand leading into the Beta Play stage remained strong, with over 30,000 unique users completing over 191,000 Cloud. GG Beta Quests as of 22 September to secure a seat in Beta Play.

The Perth-based telco has maintained that the Beta Play stage will run for about a month and collect further data on performance, system demands, queue times, and confirm which Australian service providers will be advised for GeForce NOW. The national commercial launch remains on track for October 2021, with pricing for GeForce NOW in Australia to be declared in the upcoming weeks.

Pentanet will be a participant to the rollout of the ensuing wave of subscription-based entertainment services – cloud gaming.

The stock 5GG closed 4.226% lower at AU$0.680 per share on ASX.
