- Recent drilling at Phat Boy copper prospect reveals significant sulphide intersections.
Surefire Resources (ASX:SRN) has commenced magnetite concentrate production at its Victory Bore Iron-Vanadium-Titanium Project, located in the Mid-West region of Western Australia. This development marks a significant milestone for the company’s flagship project, positioning it to explore downstream processing opportunities and strengthen global collaborations.
The production program follows discussions with external stakeholders interested in assessing the potential of Victory Bore concentrate. Approximately 700 kilograms of material from the project’s main ore zone has been collected and is undergoing beneficiation at Nagrom Laboratories in Perth. The process includes crushing, grinding, and magnetic separation, as outlined in the project’s pre-feasibility study.
The resultant high-grade magnetite concentrate will be further processed to produce vanadium pentoxide, ferrovanadium, pig iron, high-purity iron, and titanium slag. Upon completion, the premium concentrate will be sent to overseas partners for technical evaluation, advancing the company’s plans for potential partnerships in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and Europe.
Advancing Partnerships
Surefire’s recent efforts include ongoing discussions with global entities regarding the Victory Bore project. This includes an expression of interest from HMS Bergbau AG, a German commodities trading group specializing in marketing and logistics. The discussions align with the company’s focus on delivering strategic materials, such as vanadium and titanium, to the international market.
Exploration Progress at Yidby East
Beyond Victory Bore, Surefire Resources has made significant headway at its Yidby East Project, particularly the Phat Boy copper prospect. The company recently concluded its maiden drilling campaign, uncovering 50 meters of disseminated and blebby sulphides within volcanic formations.
The drilling intersected black volcanic rock beneath anomalous copper and zinc geochemical zones, highlighting the potential of the prospect for further exploration. The findings reinforce Surefire’s commitment to uncovering new opportunities within its diverse portfolio of projects in Western Australia.
With ongoing production at Victory Bore and exploration advancements at Yidby East, Surefire Resources (SRN) continues to execute its development strategy while engaging with international stakeholders to unlock the potential of its mineral assets.
