Lindian Resources Ltd (ASX:LIN) is moving forward with its ambitious Kangankunde Rare Earths Project by making strategic leadership changes. The company has appointed Ben Donovan as the new company secretary, bringing a wealth of expertise in ASX compliance and corporate governance.
Ben Donovan’s career spans extensive experience, having worked as a senior adviser at the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in Perth for three years. His knowledge of ASX listing rules and corporate governance will be invaluable as Lindian Resources continues to develop its project. Additionally, Donovan serves as the principal of Argus Corporate Partners Pty Ltd, where he provides advisory services on corporate matters, IPOs, and consultations, with a strong presence in multiple sectors including resources, agritech, biotech, media, and technology.
Lindian Resources has also undergone a significant board reshuffle to ensure robust leadership for the next phase of project development. Robert Martin has been appointed as the non-executive chair and director, while Blake Steele joins as a non-executive director. These strategic appointments come as Lindian pushes forward with the Kangankunde Rare Earths Project in Malawi.
In terms of project progress, Lindian has secured a non-binding term sheet with Gerald Group, a leading independent metals trading house. This deal ensures the company has access to crucial funding, with a US$50 million agreement on the table to support the development of the Kangankunde project. With this substantial backing in place, Lindian is taking the next steps towards refining its processing operations, working to optimize the project’s flow sheet to enhance efficiency.
The company is moving quickly to finalize a design and contract for the process plant, with expectations to award this within the next few weeks. This rapid pace signals confidence in the project’s viability and growth potential.
Lindian Resources will be hosting an investor webinar on January 22, 2025, at 12:00 pm AEDST (9:00 am AWST). Interested parties can register online for an opportunity to gain further insights into the company's next steps for the Kangankunde Rare Earths Project.
