Recce Pharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX:RCE) has achieved a significant milestone by completing the patent process for two of its innovative anti-infective treatments, RECCE 327 (R327) and RECCE 529 (R529). The Australian Patent Office recently granted “Patent Family 3” status, marking a crucial step in safeguarding the company’s intellectual property globally.  

The newly granted patent extends protection until 2037, covering the manufacturing process, a unique copolymer created through the same method, and the use of both anti-infectives to combat infections. It also encompasses four methods of administration, including oral, injection, inhalation, and transdermal delivery. This comprehensive coverage ensures these treatments are well-protected in key pharmaceutical markets worldwide.  

The patent approval signifies not just national recognition but also the importance of these anti-infectives in addressing life-threatening infections. With the Australian Patent Office’s confirmation, Recce now boasts total patent protection for R327 and R529 across major global markets.
