Variscan Mines (ASX:VAR) witnesses best day in over 3 months on zinc find

The shares of base metals explorer Variscan Mines (ASX:VAR) surge as much as 18.5% to A$0.032, displaying their biggest intraday pct gain since 23 November 2020.

The surge in the shares comes after the Company declared results from underground drilling at its San Jose-Novales Mine in Spain and revealed high-grade zinc mineralization.

The Company says it will press on with drilling in the central and southwestern mineralised zones, which is one of the more important target areas for the drilling campaign.

Furthermore, the next batch of drill core samples is anticipated to be submitted for assay analysis in near term.
