Highlights
- FEG has discovered multiple new zones of gold mineralisation at the Idenburg Project.
- Geological mapping has identified mineralised quartz veins linked to low-angle shear zones and faults across the North Bermol, South Bermol, and Nova prospects.
- Field sampling across all prospects returned high-grade gold assay results, confirming district-scale potential.
- The ongoing Phase 1 drilling program is supported by detailed geological mapping and review of historical exploration data.
- Two drill rigs are currently operating at the Sua and North Bermol prospects, delivering promising results.
Far East Gold Limited (ASX:FEG) has discovered several new zones of high-grade gold mineralisation at its Idenburg Project, located in Indonesia. The company's detailed geological mapping has identified several mineralised quartz veins linked to shear zones and faults at its North Bermol, South Bermol, and Nova prospects. Field samples collected from these areas yielded high-grade gold assay results, highlighting the potential for a large-scale mineral system across the project area.

Additional Mineralised Zones Identified
At the Bermol district, mapping program has identified new outcropping sulphide-bearing quartz veins and shear zones. The low-angle, northwest-trending shear zones at North Bermol, which host high-grade gold, have been found in additional areas, indicating further potential for new discoveries. Mapping and sampling at the Nova prospect also revealed mineralized quartz-sulphide veins within shear zones, with gold grades comparable to those at Bermol.
Findings from the expanded surface mapping program and recent drilling confirm the company’s interpretation of multiple shear-related gold systems within the area. These outcomes further support the ongoing exploration strategy aimed at identifying new discoveries and expanding existing resources through continuous drilling of defined targets.
Details of Mapping Program
Alongside the ongoing Phase 1 drilling program, the company is conducting a detailed geological mapping initiative across the Idenburg property. This work follows the assessment and review of historical exploration completed by SMGC. The aim of the program is to identify new zones of gold mineralisation for potential inclusion in the current drilling campaign.
The South Bermol prospect is interpreted as the southern extension of an approximately 4-kilometre-long structural corridor.
Ongoing Exploration and Drilling Programs
The company plans to continue its exploration at the Idenburg project by conducting mapping and surface sampling to find new gold zones. The company will prioritise and test these new targets as part of its ongoing Phase 1 scout drilling program. Currently, two drill rigs are operating at the Sua and North Bermol prospects, with the drilling continuing to deliver positive results.
Far East Gold remains focused on systematically advancing exploration at the Idenburg Project, with ongoing mapping, sampling, and drilling activities designed to define new high-grade gold zones across multiple prospects.
