With the School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering at UNSW Sydney ClearVue signs 12-month Research Agreement which is to look at the development of a new transparent luminescent solar concentrator using quantum dots. To integrate the developed quantum dot technology with its existing technology and products, if successful ClearVue would seek to scale the prototype further.
UNSWâs School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering under the terms of the binding Research Agreement will carry out contracted research on behalf of ClearVue. Led by Dr. Shujuan Huang and supported by Association will be the research team. Employing quantum dots and demonstrating high quantum yield photoluminescence, the research project will explore the development of a transparent luminescent solar concentrator.
The project includes a milestone development of a small-scale prototype and custom quantum dot materials. To take approximately 12 months from the date of signing the research project is anticipated. ClearVue will seek to scale the prototype in conjunction with UNSW further if the research project is successful, to integrating the developed quantum dot technology with its existing technology and products.
