Highlights

  • Apollo Minerals completes Phase 2 drilling at Salanie Gold Project in Gabon

  • Multiple high-grade gold intercepts recorded across A1, A3, and P6 prospects

  • Regional soil sampling and zinc-lead exploration efforts continue in Gabon

Apollo Minerals Ltd (ASX:AON), a resource exploration company listed on the ASX 300, has completed Phase 2 diamond drilling at its Salanie Gold Project in Gabon. The campaign focused on high-priority targets at the A1, A3, and P6 prospects, aiming to confirm near-surface mineralisation and assess new structural zones.

The program comprised fourteen holes, collectively spanning over one kilometre, testing known and emerging zones of quartz vein-hosted gold across the project’s greenstone belt.

Significant Intercepts Highlight Mineralised Structures

At the A1 target, drilling intersected structurally controlled gold mineralisation at shallow depths. Results from this zone confirmed continuity of a dominant north-south vein system, which remains open along strike. The A1 South hole intersected a brecciated and veined zone aligned with the projected Salanie Fault, extending the known mineralised footprint.

The P6 prospect produced notable high-grade results, with multiple intercepts reported across a defined 180-metre mineralised corridor. This zone, associated with historic underground workings, revealed quartz-sulphide mineralisation along felsic intrusive contacts.

Geochemical Sampling Supports Larger District-Scale Trends

Apollo Minerals also advanced regional exploration through a large-scale soil sampling campaign. More than three thousand samples were collected along the twelve-kilometre Salanie greenstone belt. Anomalous gold-in-soil results, including those near the Binda prospect, have confirmed additional mineralised trends outside of the immediate drilling zones.

The soil program highlighted consistent signatures correlating with known gold occurrences, which will help guide future drill targeting and structural mapping across the broader corridor.

Zinc-Lead Exploration Reaffirmed at Kroussou Project

In parallel to gold activities, Apollo continues to progress exploration at its Kroussou Zinc-Lead Project, also in Gabon. A previously defined JORC-compliant exploration target remains in place, covering a wide tonnage range with defined grade parameters.

Only a small portion of the known prospects at Kroussou have been drill tested, and shallow mineralisation continues to be reported. A key permit covering the Dikaki and Niambokamba targets has been renewed, enabling continuity of exploration planning through to the end of the decade.

Serbian Copper Program and Licence Divestments Progress

At its Belgrade Copper Project in Serbia, Apollo drilled three holes targeting a defined geophysical anomaly. While the expected mineralised zone was not intersected, structural complexity is now being reviewed. The company is also advancing divestment agreements relating to its Donja Mutnica and Lisa licence areas.

These transactions include staged conditions and payments linked to approvals and share-based components, in line with Apollo’s broader corporate realignment.

Regulatory Changes Under Review Amidst Project Advancement

Apollo continues to monitor and respond to changes in Gabon’s mining regulations, particularly recent updates regarding sovereign minerals. Provisions around equity participation by the state are currently under legal evaluation, with implications for ongoing and future development partnerships.

While the company assesses new project prospects both within Gabon and globally, it is managing current expenditure in line with its available funding base and strategic exploration priorities.
