Infoscope acquisition
Queensland-based software company, Infoscope had been known as an established and successful business that owns and operates a leading-edge data collaboration platform. K2fly acquired it in 2017. Since then, the two groups have merged seamlessly with minimal transition cost. In October 2017, K2fly joined the SAP Partner Edge Program to port the Infoscope technology. Subsequently, the software was ported to the prestigious SAP Cloud Platform and their HANA database within six months. The solution was made available to the SAP salesforce and customers on the SAP App Center in June 2018.
It represented a highly complementary, synergistic and value accretive acquisition for K2fly. In addition, Infoscope had delivered revenue of ~ $ 1.5 million for the year ended 30 June 2017 and an EBIT of approximately $ 400,000. Infoscopeâs client base includes major corporates such as Fortescue Metals Group (ASX: FMG), The National Trust, APIM and Westgold Resources (ASX: WGX).
Infoscope software
Infoscope is a data collaboration platform that specialises in the connection of disparate data sources and collates different layers of information to construct a visually presentable data store that is easily configured and accessible. The software was initially developed to tackle a pressing corporate problem â information silos and eliminate the boundaries found in traditional systems by optimising every piece of information.
The Infoscope Land Management significantly reduces operational risk whilst improving efficiency by enabling project operators to gather and share critical information with all stakeholders, including regulators. The solution is directly applicable to the resources, infrastructure, utilities, environment & biodiversity, and cultural heritage sectors. It supports the growing desire of large-scale organisations to demonstrate their âSocial Licence to Operateâ in the environments key to their business operations.
