Lithium Australia Reports Receipt of Certificate of Grant for LieNA® Processing Technology Patent

Battery recycling focussed company, Lithium Australia (ASX: LIT) has received a ‘Certificate of Grant’ from IP Australia for its LieNA® lithium processing technology Patent Number 2017306576 by the Commissioner of Patents with priority details 2016903041 effective from 2 August 2016.

This latest patent grant would provide legal protection in Australia for 20 years over the LieNA® technology which:

  • Significantly improves metallurgical recovery of lithium from fine and contaminated spodumene,
  • Reduce the footprint of mining operations,
  • Lessen environmental impacts and
  • Enhance sustainability.

On the ASX, LIT shares are on a massive surge with 23% gains, and trading at $0.048 (as on 06 April 2020, AEST: 1:42 PM).
