Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Expects Improved NPAT & Operating Revenue Due to NZ Dollar Weakening

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare (ASX:FPH) has updated its revenue and earnings guidance for the period ended 31 March 2020. As per the guidance provided during February 2020, the company expected its operating revenue to be ~ $1.2 billion while NPAT to range from ~ $260 million to $270 million based on the NZ:US exchange rate of 64 cents.

Since then, NZ dollar has weakened against other currencies. Assuming that the NZ:US exchange rate of 61 cents and a NZ:EU exchange rate of ~ 55 cents for remaining FY2020, the company expects its full year operating revenue to be $1.24 billion and NPAT to be in between $275 million to $280 million.
