The operations of the US’s biggest refined products pipeline system, Colonial Pipeline Company, have been temporarily shut down since May 7, following a cybersecurity attack. This is one of the biggest attacks and it shut the 5,500-mile Colonial pipeline network that transports petrol, diesel and jet fuel from the refineries along the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Coast.
