St. George's Cathedral is the Anglican Diocese of Perth's mother-church. It was listed as Heritage in 2001 because it is a classic example of Victorian Gothic architecture, making a major contribution to the streetscape of central Perth, and is highly regarded by members of the community and the Anglican church. Consecrated in 1888, St George's Cathedral was constructed using handmade bricks, local arches jarrah, Fremantle's calcareous stone, Swan River brickyards, Victoria's bluestone columns, Italian marble, and France's Caen stone pulpit.

The Cathedral is a popular attraction for churchgoers and draws thousands of tourists to the precinct of the church overlooking the Sydney Central Business District and opposite the similarly famous Hyde Park. The cathedral was awarded the title and dignity of a minor basilica by Pope Pius XI in 1932. The St Mary's cornerstone was laid in 1868, but it took several decades to complete the cathedral in the Gothic Revival style. Built using local sandstone, it includes a mosaic flooring crypt, stained glass windows imported in the 1880s from Birmingham, and 14 bells.

Located in the middle of the CBD of Brisbane, the spiritual home of Wesley Mission Queensland is the Albert Street Uniting Church. Designed by George Henry Male Addison, the Heritage-listed building was built between 1888 and 1889. It was the oldest Methodist church in Brisbane in the early 20th century, and after its establishment in 1977, it became the Uniting Church. It is made of red brick with white trimmings of Oamaru calcareous. Inside, the emphasis is on the pulpit elevated and the pipe organ decoratively decorated.

A short walk from the centre of Melbourne, St Patrick's Cathedral is across the road from Flinders Street Station, the main train station of the city.
