Highlights
- XRD analysis of Andover South project samples has confirmed spodumene presence as the lithium bearing mineral.
- The initial samples confirmed spodumene content of up to 29% and low content of micas.
- Three samples reported grades of 2.22%, 0.98% and 0.37% Li2
Raiden Resources Limited (ASX: RDN, DAX: YM4) shares jumped ~4.35% to AU$0.024 apiece early this morning after the company confirmed the presence of high spodumene mineralisation from initial X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis of Andover South project samples.
For semi-quantitative XRD analysis, samples from the initial reconnaissance campaign in July were sent to ALS Global Laboratories in Perth. Samples selected for analysis had higher grade results as of that time, and these samples returned 2.22%, 0.98% and 0.37% Li2O values.
The initial analysis has confirmed that spodumene content is up to 29% (sample R21160).
For further understanding of Andover South mineralogy and to support drill program planning, the company plans to conduct further XRD analysis and mineralogical evaluations. The additional samples have been gathered and are planned to be submitted for further analysis.
