Webjet Limited (ASX: WEB) has responded to the recent media speculation related to the expressions of interest in the Company. Webjet has confirmed that its objective is to create value for its shareholders and from time to time it considers acquisition interest in the business.

Should a proposal be received that was compelling and specified, WEB would put it to its shareholders. However, there is no such proposal with the company at present.

WEB remains focused on executing the growth strategy.

At AEST 1:34 PM, WEB shares quoted $12.780, 9.6% above its previous close.
