Azincourt Energy Corp. (TSXV:AAZ)


Azincourt Energy Corp (TSXV: AAZ, OTC: AZURF) is a Vancouver-based resource firm engaged in development and exploration activities. It is focused on developing alternative fuels and alternative energy resources like uranium.

The company is engaged in exploration and development activities at Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, Canada, Picotani Plateau, and Peru.

The Canadian firm says that Uranium for use in nuclear industry and battery metals like lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese, and graphite could change of focus on global energy development.

The diversified portfolio of projects consists of one project in Canada and three joint projects in Peru.

East Preston Uranium Project

The Canadian project is a joint venture partnership with Skyharbour Resources and Clean Commodities Corp. It is a high-grade uranium deposit that carries a history of over 40 years, located in Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. The company has 70 per cent interest in the project eastern part. In the Paterson Lake Region, the project has a significant tenure land position reportedly. Other operators in the area include NexGen Energy Ltd, Cameco/AREVA/Purepoint and Fission Uranium Corp.

The exploration company says that between 2017-18 several drill targets were generated using gravity geophysical surveys.

In 2019, helicopter borne VTEM and Magnetic survey at the southeastern part of the East Preston Project in over 25,000 hectares of land was completed, the firm claims.

Escalera-Lituania-Condorlit Projects

These projects are located in Peru, which is reportedly deemed as the world largest mining base and manufacturer of base and precious metals. Peru also leads in production of gold, silver, copper and zinc and other minerals, the firm claims. The Escalera Group consists of three projects, namely Lituania, Condorlit, Escalera, covering 7,400 hectares.

The property is known for several targets hosting surficial volcanic lithium and uranium deposits in the Picotani Plateau. Other miners in the region include Plateau Energy Metals, Rio Tinto, and Bear Creek Mining.

In February 2021, the exploration company announced its 70 per cent stake in the East Preston Uranium Project. The company acquired this project under an option agreement with its joint venture partners, Skyharbour Resources Ltd and Dixie Gold Inc.

On February 18, 2021, Azincourt Energy Corp announced the competition of initial work at three uranium and lithium projects in Carabaya and San Antonio De Putina in southeastern Peru.
