Highlights
- First-pass soil sampling completed at Courvoisier prospect
- Assay results expected in late July 2025
- Exploration efforts ongoing across multiple gold targets
Dynamic Metals (ASX:DYM) has completed a first-pass soil sampling campaign at its Courvoisier gold prospect, located just 4.4 kilometres north of the Cognac West discovery, within the company’s flagship Widgiemooltha Project in Western Australia. This initiative marks another step in Dynamic’s broader exploration strategy to capitalise on the mineral-rich terrains of the region.
The Courvoisier sampling campaign spanned an area of approximately 2 by 1.5 kilometres, strategically positioned along the Republican Thrust fault. This fault is a regionally significant geological structure known for its gold-bearing shear zones and quartz veining — attributes that have historically attracted exploration interest.
Dynamic collected 385 soil samples on east-west lines spaced 200 metres apart with 50-metre sample intervals. The results, expected in late July, are anticipated to enhance the company’s geochemical understanding of the area and help define the next phase of exploration, potentially including targeted drilling.
Historically, Courvoisier has seen minimal modern exploration. Earlier drill efforts, dating back to the 1990s, include an intercept of 5 metres at 0.65 g/t gold from 41 metres depth. While these figures indicate promising potential, the previous datasets were sparse and incomplete. This new phase of sampling aims to generate a robust, modern dataset that could refine geological models and direct future drilling activities.
The company’s broader exploration efforts are progressing in tandem across other key targets. At Cognac West, assay results from Phase 2 reverse circulation (RC) drilling are anticipated by mid-July 2025. These results will further define the extent of gold mineralisation previously encountered. Simultaneously, at the Chalice South prospect, permitting has commenced for 13 RC drill holes across five historically defined areas, with drilling scheduled for the September 2025 quarter.
Dynamic’s exploration strategy aligns with the ongoing investor interest in resource development among emerging and mid-tier players listed on the ASX. While Dynamic Metals is not currently included in the ASX200 index, its expanding footprint in Western Australia and promising prospects could position it as a noteworthy contender among its peers.
As exploration intensifies at Courvoisier and surrounding prospects, the focus remains on leveraging structural complexity and historical data to unlock new mineral opportunities across the Widgiemooltha region.
