S&P/NZX50 Witnessed Marginal Rise on October 28, 2020

On October 28, 2020, S&P/NZX50 ended the session in green as there was a rise of 0.10% to 12,264.52 and S&P/NZX20 rose by 0.08% to 8,030.26. Notably, S&P/NZX10 increased 0.56% to 2,145.68. Healthcare sector witnessed a rise of 1.60% and technology sector increased by 0.43%. On the other hand, energy sector fell by 1.36% and real estate sector declined by 1.07%.

Top Movers: Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corporation Ltd (NZX: FPH) (up by 3.90%), Fonterra Shareholders’ Fund (NZX: FSF) (up by 3.39%) and Chorus Ltd (NZX: CNU) (up by 2.04%). On the other hand, Tourism Holdings Ltd (NZX: THL) fell by 5.76%.

Movements on Wall Street: On October 27, 2020, Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 0.80% to 27,463.19. However, NASDAQ Composite rose by 0.64% to 11,431.35.
