S&P/NZX50 Witnessed Marginal Rise as Financials Sector Rose

On October 5, 2020, S&P/NZX50 ended the session in green, reflecting a rise of 0.64% to 11,898.26 and S&P/NZX20 increased 0.65% to 7805.58. On the same day, S&P/NZX10 increased by 1.08% to 2,084.50. Financials sector rose by 3.23% and consumer cyclicals sector rose by 2.08%. On the other hand, technology sector fell by 0.86% and real estate sector was down by 0.20%.

Top Movers: Westpac Banking Corporation (NZX: WBC) (up by 3.33%), Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (NZX: ANZ) (up by 3.18%) and Restaurant Brands New Zealand Ltd (NZX: RBD) (up by 3.11%). On the flip side, the stock of Pushpay Holdings Ltd (NZX: PPH) witnessed a fall of 3.82%.
