On 4th October 2021, the broader NZ market closed the session in green. This was mainly because significant buying was witnessed in the materials as well as communications services sectors. Also, some buying was encountered in the consumer discretionary sector. NZX 50 Index rose by 0.44% to 13,337.27 and NZX 20 Index increased by 0.60% to 8,402.58. NZX All Materials rose by 1.23%.

Gainers and Losers:
Geo Limited (NZX: GEO) made an announcement that it is garnering NZ$6 Mn from the issue of ordinary shares priced at NZ$0.130 per share by the way of placement. Also, it intends to conduct the subsequent capital raise in the next few months in order to allow the broader shareholder base to take part at the same price.
AMP Limited (NZX: AMP) rose by 5.71% to NZ$1.110 per share.
