Budget 2020: Additional NZD 160m funding to the pharma industry

The government has announced that the kiwis will get their medicine supply despite pressure on supply chains.

Budget 2020 includes the announcement to boost the Combined Pharmaceutical Budget by NZD 160 million. PHARMAC manages the budget to purchase medical devices, vaccines, medicines, and other treatments.

Health Minister David Clark said, these are not normal times, the budget will focus on economic recovery, and New Zealanders will get the best possible treatment during the crisis.
