Description

Sparton Resources Inc is a metal exploration and developmental company that is primarily focused on gold producing properties.

The Toronto-based mining company is focused on two gold projects: Matachewan gold property and Bruell gold property.

Bruell gold property is located east of Val d’Or in Vauquelin Township, the Canadian Province of Quebec. The Bruell Gold Property is serviced by well-connected road infrastructure and hosts 51 mineral claims.

In addition, it consists of various gold and shear zone structures, including shallow vertical shafts and inclined shafts: Bruell 1, Bruell 2 and the Avocalon (Aurora zone).

In December 2019, the mineral exploration signed an agreement with Eldorado Gold Corporation, wherein the latter was granted an option to earn 75 per cent interest in the property.

Matachewan Gold Property

Matachewan Gold Property (Oakes Project) is located in the west of Kirkland Lake and is in close proximation to the Kirkland-Larder Lake Gold Structural System and Alamos Gold’s Young Davidson gold mine.

The property consists of 46 mineral claims and three leases spanning a total area of nearly 736 hectares.

Apart from mining and exploration, the Canadian firm also invests in clean renewable energy projects such as:

VRB Energy

The company holds a 9.8 per cent ownership stake in VRB Energy through its subsidiary, VanSpar Mining Inc.

The VRB is the leading manufacturer of vanadium flow batteries.

Chebucto Natural Gas

The gold mining firm owns some 6.5 per cent stake in the natural gas project located in the Sable Island Area, offshore Nova Scotia.

In a press release dated July 2, 2021, Sparton Resources Inc announced that VRB Energy Inc, in which Sparton’s subsidiary holds a minority stake, signed an agreement to make the largest photovoltaic solar integrated battery system in China.

Further in May 2021, the gold producer claimed to have initiated its Summer Project Work Program for the year 2021.

The program involves onsite work, including exploration and drilling programs, and detailed analysis and evaluation of a multiple deposits project in Quebec and Ontario.
