Nutrien Ltd claims to have produced and distributed around 25 million tonnes of nitrogen, phosphate and potash products. The company has operations in North America, Australia, South America, Asia, Europe and Africa, with over 2,000 retail locations in nearly 13 countries.
Nutrien Ltd was formed after a merger between Agrium and PotashCorp in 2018.
Nutrien Ag Solutions, the company’s retail segment, was earlier known as Crop Production Services. In 2009, three Agrium companies, Western Farm Service, Royster Clark and United Agri Products, merged to form a new company with the original name- Crop Production Services. The four companies were later rebranded as Nutrien Ag Solutions in 2018.
The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and Toronto Stock Exchange and trades under the ticker symbol ‘NTR’.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Nutrien reportedly provided US$ 2 million in support for food solutions across the globe.
The company claims to support around 250 food agencies in five countries and invested in community support.
In partnership with Triax Technologies, the company is reportedly able to track and combat the COVID-19 spread at various sites and safely supported around 1,700 employees at Nitrogen and Phosphate sites in the United States.
The Canadian company provides an array of crop-related solutions and advisory to various stakeholders.
