The Montreal-based company initially focused on products and services related to IT consultancy. However, with expansion and growth over the years, CGI now provides a wide range of services, including IT outsourcing, software development, and system integration.
The company, earlier known as CGI Group, claims to be a sector-leading IT services provider.
CGI Inc provides end-to-end technology services, including managed IT, cross-industry IP solutions, deep-industry expertise, consulting, technology infrastructure management, etc.
The IT firm also operates in hybrid cloud computing, analytics, cybersecurity, and intelligent automation.
CGI Inc caters to a multitude of sectors like financial companies, communication and utilities, transportation and logistics, health, manufacturing, retail and distribution, and government.
The company reportedly generates most of its revenue from the United States.
CGI Inc is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and trades under the symbol 'GIB'. It is included in the Canadian component of S&P/TSX 60 Component.
It reportedly was included in the Forbes Global 2000 ranking for 2021.
