Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd

Mining

Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd is a Canada-based mining company focused on the development, exploration, production and extraction of mineral properties in Canada.

The mining firm claims to be focused on the Canadian sector for over 30 years now.

The company also has significant interests in several pipeline and development-stage projects.

It is presently focusing on becoming an intermediate gold producer from its two operating mines in Ontario and Quebec.

It is a publicly trading company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and the stocks trade under the symbol “WDO”.

The gold producer asset portfolio consists of various mining operations, including:
• Eagle River Complex
• Kiena Complex
• Moss Lake Complex

The Eagle River Complex

The company owns and operates the Eagle River Complex, located in Wawa, Ontario. The complex consists of two operating mines: Mishi Open Pit Mine and Eagle River Underground Mine, and a mill facility. The processing of ore at mill commenced in October 1995. The complex is spread in approximately 11,000 hectares area.

The Mishi mine commenced its production in 2002 and is an open pit located in Canada.

The gold producer purchased the Eagle River Underground Mine in 1994, and the first gold pour occurred on October 17, 1995. Both the mines are located in the Mishibishu Lake area.

The mill facility is located at the former Magnacon Mine, which is to the north of the Eagle River Mine.

However, the mining facility is powered by a provincial grid owned by the firm. In addition, it makes use of diesel generators installed at the mill site and mine site, the company claims. The operation also consists of a camp kitchen and recreation facilities.

Kiena Complex

The property, located in Quebec, consists of several mining claims and one mining concession. The operations are conducted through a 930-meter production shaft and a mill with an estimated capacity of 2,000 tpd.

Between 1981 and 2013, the mine has produced 1.75 million ounces of gold, the company claims.

However, the operations were suspended in 2013 due to global gold price decline and inadequately developed reserves.

The Canadian company discovered the Deep A Zone in the complex in 2016.

The Kiena Deep A Zone displays high grade, visible gold with little sulfide mineralization and rich deposit near the surface.

Moss Lake Property

It consists of two 21-year mining leases, 15 patented claims and 105 unpatented mining claims. These leases and mining claims are of varying size and shape and cover an approximate area of 3200 hectares.

However, unpatented mining leases and mining claims are 100 per cent registered. The property is located in Ontario, Canada.
