Western Forest Products Inc is an integrated manufacturer of forest products, particularly softwood products.
The company’s core operations include timber harvesting, forest management, reforestation and other forestry activities.
The forest products company owns and operates numerous processing facilities, where the wood logs convert to wood chips, lumber, and other remanufacturing products made from lumber.
Western Forest provides a wide range of wood products, including Western Red Cedar, Yellow Cedar, Douglas Fir and Hemlock. The products are used in outdoor living, exterior appearance, and interior living purposes.
Western Forest also owns sawmills and remanufacturing facilities in Canada and manufactures large varieties of structural wood products. In addition, the forest products company manufactures high-quality industrial wood products and associated parts used in lam stock, packaging and crafting, mat stock, cross arms and bridge, docks, rail ties, etc.
The Vancouver-based company markets and supplies the products to industrial customers, government construction and development projects and private sector commercial applicants engaged in the power generation, railway, oil, and gas industries. In addition, Western Forest Products owns eight sawmills and four remanufacturing facilities with an estimated 1.1 billion board feet of lumber capacity.

The wood products manufacturer reportedly sources timber and logs through licenses, owned-private lands, market purchases, and First Nations arrangements.
The Canadian company harvests logs and convert them into lumber products at its sawmills and lastly markets them for various purposes. The company claims to earn significant revenue from key markets in Canada, the United States, and China.
On May 3, 2021, the forestry company sold its additional 28 per cent ownership stake in TFL 44 Limited Partnership to Huumiis Ventures Limited Partnership. Now, Western Forest Products holds a 65 per cent stake in the limited partnership.
In addition, it claims to own approximately 850,000 hectares of forest area, which is certified by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA Z-809). Further, the property consists of 795,131 hectares of forest area that is SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) certified.
The company claims that both certifications are recognized in the international markets under the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
