America’s leading telecommunications company T-Mobile (TMUS) on Wednesday posted revenue of US$15.1 billion for the first quarter revenue of fiscal 2022.

T-Mobile, which delivers advanced 4G LTE and 5G networks, posted service revenue growth of 7% YoY to US$15.1 billion and an industry-leading service revenue growth of 9% in postpaid connections. It added 348,000 postpaid net accounts, the best Q1 record for any company.

T-Mobile also added 1.3 million postpaid net customers, the highest Q1 number in eight years.

It also reported postpaid phone net customer additions of 589,000 in the quarter. Its 338,000 high-speed internet net customer additions are also the best in the industry and a record high.

He also said that T-Mobile’s unparalleled network leadership in the 5G era empowered them to give customers the best network and best value without compromise. It resolves one of the most prevalent pain points in the wireless industry, he added.

Its 984,000 high-speed internet customer addition in the quarter reflects its market stranglehold. TMUS has a high-speed Internet customer base of over one million.

T-Mobile owns a market share of 95% in 5G Network

Surpassing even the top and old players in the market like Verizon and AT&T, T-Mobile has penetrated over 315 million households or 95% of Americans across 1.8 million square miles.
