Food delivery company Just Eat has said it will pay its couriers by the hour than per job. This would mean that the riders will be either full-time, part-time employees or on zero hours contracts.The company has also agreed to pay pension contributions, holiday pay, sick pay, and maternity or paternity pay.

Tesco’s chairman John Allan has said that a no-deal Brexit would mean short-term disruptions in supplies and higher prices for consumers Allan said consumers might have to pay 3 to 5 per cent more on food items due to the new tariffs. He said the supermarket is preparing itself and is stockpiling products in warehouses.

Transport delays prompt Honda to suspend production at UK plant

Japanese auto major Honda Motor has said that it will suspend most operations at its plant in the UK due to parts shortage. Due to the pandemic, most shipments to Britain have got delayed, which has hit the production.

The automaker is looking for alternative shipping routes, including air cargo, so that production is not affected for a very long time.
