Founded in 1945, Dr. Martens Plc, formerly known as Dr. Martens Limited, is a UK-based manufacturer of footwear brands. It offers shoes, boots and sandals for men and women across the world. The company’s aim is to employer rebellious self-expression to offer long-term value for the business. The company operates in more than 60 countries through 135 own stores worldwide. Its first boot was launched on 1960 in England and was so called the “1460”, which still provides the foundation for all other product expressions and represents more than 40% of sales. The 1460 boot has iconic and recognizable design with grooved sole, yellow welt stitch and black and yellow heel loop. The company’s shares got listed on the London Stock Market in January 2021 as LON: DOCS.

In Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division the company operates 68 own stores, five third party stores and seven country specific website. In Americas division the company operates 34 own stores, 20 third party stores and two country specific websites. In Asia-Pacific (APAC) division the company operates 33 own stores, 178 third party stores and four country specific websites.  The company’s product categories include Originals, Fusion, Kids, Casual and Accessories. The original product categories offer boots, shoes, Loafers and Icon Variations shoes. The Fusion category offers platforms, sandals, heels and Refined. The Kids category offers Fusion, originals and Casual. The Casual product categories include Tract and Vibe and the Accessories include shoe related products such as Socks, leather bags shoe care, small leather items and laces. Additionally the company also operates in Paris, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Shanghai, Northamptonshire, Dusseldorf, Stockholm, Zhuhai, Milan, Seoul and Ho Chi Minh City.
