Secretary for Regional Economic Development, Fletcher Tabuteau has announced that Provincial Growth Fund (PGF) shall invest around NZD 18 million to connect the tourist attraction spots across Greymouth, Hokitika, Westport, and Haast.

Around NZD 17.87 million will be given to the Te Ara Pounamu pathways project to support the unveiling of state-of-the-art innovative digital technology to tell the West Coast's unique cultural and historical stories. Furthermore, four new 'visitor experience centres' across the West Coast will support tourism and boost employment, he added.
