Cable Network Segment

The segment, under NBC Universal, mainly deals with the national and international cable networks, regional sports channels, news networks, international cable networks, etc. In addition, it owns various digital properties and engages in studio production operations in cable television.

Broadcast Television Segment

The operations are centered around provision of broadcast networks, including Telemundo and NBC, throughout the United States. The NBC network operates through an extensive network of more than 200 affiliated television stations. Telemundo is a media company that distributes, licenses, and produces Spanish-language content in the United States and internationally.

Filmed Entertainment Segment

The segment is engaged in the operations of Universal Pictures, which produces, markets, acquires and distributes filmed entertainment across the globe. The content under the segment includes theatrical films, film libraries, direct-to-video movies, etc. and represents a collection of 5000 movies across different genres.

Theme Park Segment

The segment caters to Universal theme parks in popular destinations such as Orlando, Florida; Hollywood, California; Osaka, Japan, etc.

Sky Segment

The firm manages all the operations of the European entertainment company, Sky, through this unit. The Sky is engaged in providing a wide range of services, such as direct-to-consumer business, video, high-speed internet, wired and wireless phone services. The company is also involved in the content business, including operations in the entertainment networks and the broadcasting networks, such as Sky News, Sky Sports, etc.

The Philadelphia-based firm is reportedly among the world’s largest broadcasting and cable television companies.

The telecommunication firm claims to provide low-cost internet and cable services to schools, general broadband consumers through the United States government's E-Rate program.
