Cassiar Gold Corp., earlier known as Margaux Resources Ltd., is a mining company focused on mineral resources located in British Columbia. Cassiar Gold Corp. is a company on the TSX Venture Exchange, IT trades under the ticker GLDC. In May 2021, the company graduated to the OTCQX Best Market with the trading symbol CGLCF.
The Calgary-based natural resource miner is involved in the exploration, acquisition, evaluation and development of precious metal properties, specifically gold assets. The British Columbia-focused mineral exploration company owns a 100 per cent stake in the Cassiar Gold Project.
Currently, it is in an advanced exploration phase. The Cassiar Project consists of mining claims encompassing a total area of 59,000 hectares. The project is well equipped with a road network, power grid, and other mine infrastructure, including a mill facility with a processing capacity of 300 tons per day and a permanent camp.
The Property is near the Red Chris Mine (operated by Imperial Metals) and the Silver Tip Mine (operated by Coeur Mining). The North Cassiar and South Cassiar are the two primary prospective areas for upside mineral resource opportunities. In addition, the project operations are also directed towards gold-infused tailings, reprocessing and gold recovery from by-products of past exploration activities.
The company also operates the Sheep Creek Gold Project in southern British Columbia. The project includes consolidated mineral claims to conduct exploration in the ten-kilometer-long belt.
The Sheep Creek Property has proper infrastructural support, including access to roads and highways, a power grid, a natural gas pipeline and a Trail smelter (owned by Teck). In 2017, Cassiar Gold Corp. signed an option agreement to earn a 100 per cent stake in the Sheep Creek Mine.
The company is working on exploration and drilling programs to discover and evaluate the target areas in order to expand the mineral resource potential for the development and advancement of the projects.
